Concerto

Musical genre; a composition for solo instrument(s) with an orchestral accompaniment. It usually has three movements in the order fast-slow-fast. The following concertos by Beethoven have survived: a violin concerto (for which there is also a version for piano and orchestra), five piano concertos and a triple concerto (with three solo instruments) for piano, violin and cello.
