"Prometheus" etching by Michael Triegel
 Painter Michael Triegel has kindly given the Beethoven-Haus a series of 30 etchings titled "Prometheus" as a charity donation. The individually created prints can be bought at the Beethoven-Haus for 660 Euro (see order form). The proceeds will be used to purchase and make a facsimile of the original manuscript of Beethoven's Diabelli variations op. 120. Triegel is regarded as one of the leading representatives of the Leipzig School and has strong musical inclinations. He is widely appreciated for his profound range of subjects. The etchings have been done with extraordinary artistic aptitude. They are printed on hand-made paper, size 53 x 38.5 cm / picture detail 19.5 x 19.5 cm, hand-washed and entitled by the artist, dated (Leipzig 2007/2009), signed and numbered.
