| Summary
Like many of Beethoven's friends Nikolaus Zmeskall also performed tasks as a secretary and messenger for the composer. In a short letter Beethoven asks Zmeskall not to spend the money which has just arrived on household goods but to use it to purchase more important things and to settle bills.
