Summary
Beethoven asks Baron Pasqualati to come to see him as he is not allowed to go out on account of an illness. He made the request because of a matter concerning his nephew Karl and the lawyer Dr. Adlersburg. Adlersburg had advised Beethoven in legal matters up to summer 1818 and had especially taken care of the nephew's fortune (the son of Beethoven's brother who died in 1815).
