Beethoven in the nature
Besides Beethoven's deafness it was his passion for nature that artists frequently used as a topic. Various anecdotes about the composer going on walks and particularly his famous "Pastoral Symphony" op. 68 with its intensive musical depictions of nature served as models for artists and painters who as early as the first half of the 19th century began depicting Beethoven while on a walk or composing in the nature.
