Summary
In the annuity agreement of 1 March 1809 Beethoven had been guaranteed an annuity of 4,000 florins a year by Princes Kinsky, Lobkowitz and Archduke Rudolph. The three patrons divided the sum up into different amounts: the Archduke was to pay 1,500 florins. The sums were paid out of the princes' finance offices every six months against a receipt.
