Summary
In accordance with his annuity agreement, Beethoven drew money from the prince's finance office. In order to receive the money, he had to write a receipt for which certain elements were essential: official paper, seal, his own signature as well as proof that that the recipient (Beethoven) was still alive, issued by a priest's office acting as an official authority.
