Summary
Cannabich worked as concert director in Munich where Ferdinand Ries supposedly lived until the end of 1802. Since early 1803 Ries resided in Vienna and took lessons with Beethoven. Cannabich asked piano manufacturer Streicher if he might be able to help Ries find piano students for his "development in Vienna".
