Summary
Eleonore Wegeler, née Breuning adds a letter to one from Franz Gerhard Wegeler, in which she repeats her husband's wish that Beethoven should finally make a trip home. The whole family would be very happy and he would be a welcome guest.
She writes about the children and their (partly only slight) musical talents and preferences.
Eleonore regrets that she herself cannot come to Vienna. She emphasizes that they are well and that they have no reason to complain; they have also got through the bad times (French occupation) well.
Like Franz Gerhard Wegeler Eleonore von Breuning had also been a childhood friend of Beethoven's. After the death of his mother and the disintegration of his own family, Beethoven found a loving home with the Breunings, where he was always very welcome.
