Summary
Beethoven recommends a non-identified acquaintance how and with what formulations to get in contact with the Russian empress. Beethoven wants to dedicate the Polonaise op. 89 and piano reduction of the Symphony op. 92 to Elisabeta Alexejewna. He uses this acquaintance as an intermediary between himself and the empress and also her entourage.
Beethoven formulates single sentences for this letter, but leaves the final formulation up to the receiver.
