Summary
Beethoven answers a request from Müller (no longer surviving) saying that he would be glad to serve him but hopes not to be overestimated.
The exact subject of the letter is unclear. Karl Friedrich Müller was a well-known piano teacher and composer in Berlin and should not be confused with Carl Friedrich Müller, the invalid actor for whose benefit Beethoven wrote the two Waltzes and an Ecossaise WoO 84-86.
