Summary
Beethoven had provided orchestral parts for the music for a charity concert of the Ursuline nuns in Graz, organized by Joseph von Varena. To cover his costs, the organizers had sent him 100 florins. In this "nota bene" Beethoven stresses that he only wants to deduct the costs for having the copies made from the 100 florins and that he will sent the remaining sum back to the Ursuline nuns, as "their good intention had greatly moved" him.
