About the author/editor:

Dr. Martella Gutiérrez-Denhoff, geboren 1956, studierte Musikwissenschaft, Romanistik und Philosophie in Bonn. 1982 Promotion mit einer Quellenmonographie über den "Wolfenbütteler Chansonnier". Seit 1983 im Beethoven-Archiv tätig, zunächst als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin bei der Gesamtausgabe der Briefe Beethovens, seit 1989 als künstlerische Leiterin des Kammermusiksaales (seit 1991 gemeinsam mit Ursula Timmer-Fontani).
1999 rief sie die Ferienworkshops für Kinder im Beethoven-Haus ins Leben und ist seitdem auch koordinierend und planend für Kinderprojekte und musikalische Aktionen für Kinder im Beethoven-Haus zuständig.
Sie hat Publikationen u.a. über Beethoven, Johannes Brahms und Felix Draeseke vorgelegt sowie einige Artikel für die neue MGG geschrieben.

Abstract:

At the beginning of the year 2004 the Beethoven-Haus has arranged a painting and drawing contest about Beethoven, the museum and some of the items that are being displayed. The 'Tales of the Beethoven-Haus' that were written for the participating children were printed by the publishing house of the Beethoven-Haus, and were furthermore illustrated with paintings made by award winners, and with the pictural results of the childrens' painting contest.
