About the author/editor:

Dr. Martha Frohlich wurde in den USA geboren und studierte dort an der University of Michigan, am Peabody-Konservatorium und an der Harvard University, zusätzlich dann noch an der Bar-Ilan-Universität in Israel. Bis 1996 war sie dort Dozentin für Musikwissenschaft. Ihre Beethoven-Publikationen umfassen eine umfangreiche Monographie zur "Appassionata" (Oxford 1991) sowie mehrere Einzelartikel an verschiedenen Orten. Sie lebt in Wellfleet/MA und arbeitet zur Zeit an einer Edition der Skizzen zu Beethovens 5. Symphonie.
