About the author/editor:

Richard Kramer, Distinguished Professor am Graduate Center der City University of New York, publizierte zahlreiche Arbeiten über Beethoven, Schubert und C.Ph.E. Bach. Für seine Veröffentlichung Distant Cycles: Schubert and the Conceiving of Song (Chicago 1994) erhielt er den Otto-Kinkeldey-Preis der American Musicological Society und einen ASCAP-Deems-Taylor-Preis. Kramer war Herausgeber des Journal of the American Musicological Society und Dean der Fakultät Humanities and Fine Arts an der State University of New York at Stony Brook.
