All websites of the Digital Beethoven-House were created using "SixCMS", a content management system. For the majority, the sites apply to the standards HTML 4.01 and CSS 2.1. They were not optimised for a particular computer, browser or operating system. All pages can be viewed with a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and higher. There are only a few instances of standard variances to support old and current versions of the most frequently used browsers, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Communicator.
For best results your browser should support StyleSheets and JavaScript. But even without these you can view the entire content and execute all functions. To order online, you need to accept cookies and your browser must support HTTPS.
Requirements for audio and visual media:
Set your browser to allow popup windows. We will not bother you with popup ads.
If characters cannot be displayed in popup windows when using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you need to change the respective Internet preferences. (Go to "Tools", "Internet Options", then click on the "Advanced" tab and deselect the options "Always send URLs as UTF-8" and "Show friendly URLs".)
