From my first vinyl LP recording of the 9th Symphony from my grandparents, to my first visit to the Metropolitan Opera to see "Fidelio," Beethoven has been an early influence in my life, beginning from age 13.
My dream to visit the Maestro's birthplace is on my "Bucket List", a pilgrimage intend to make in the next five years.
Since age 13, Schiller's words and Beethoven's music "Alle Menschen werden Brüder, wo dein sanfter Flügel weilt!"

I had a great visit to the Beethoven Haus today. The audio tour was very interesting and it was quite moving to see Beethovens death mask and the room where he was born. The instrument collection was amazing!

The staff and assistants were very helpful pleasant - nothing too much trouble.
It would be of interest to be able to access text etc which described aspects of Beethoven's everyday life, especially with reference to some of the exhibited artifacts. eg was he addicted to coffee (as well as wine!), when did he start wearing glasses and who supplied or made them for him? etc
Despite everything... it all comes down to the (wonderful) music.

Es un museo acogedor, aunque muy sencillo. Faltan carteles en otros idiomas.
