"A Cabinet of Beethoven Curiosities in Italy. The Carrino Collection"
14.12.2012 to 08.07.2013 Forty years ago Sergio and Giuliana Carrino began to build up a collection which in its orientation and size has no equal anywhere in the world. It reveals the enormous variety of ways in which, in the course of time, Beethoven has played an important role in the visual arts, and also in the world of advertising. From the more than 9,000 objects which form their daily environment – paintings, drawings, sculptures, coins and medallions, bookplates, postage stamps, postcards, books, magazines and advertising media – the collectors have made a selection which embraces the visitor both aesthetically and emotionally.
