L. v. Beethoven: Piano variations (Zulehner)

Titelblatt C 249 / 44, 2

This music score, decorated with a spray of dog roses, is one of the first attempts at a complete edition, published by the Mainz publisher Karl Zulehner from 1803 onwards - not, however, with the composer's approval. Beethoven warned the public in different newspapers about Zulehner's pirated editions.
